I have been with Hu-Friedy for 37 years.

How did you come to find yourself at Hu-Friedy?

I was fortunate enough to have been invited to "give it a try" for a year. I did.... 37 times :-) As they say, once the dental industry is in your blood, you are hooked.

What is your favorite part of the job?
|
|
You might say that I am very fortunate to have had many jobs over the years at Hu-Friedy. In each role, I had the chance, in effect, to re-invent myself and learn new things. Perhaps, that is what has kept me so young! Today, my "job" is about guiding and supporting others in their jobs. It's more about teaching and sharing ...a role that I truly love.

What is your favorite Hu-Friedy memory?

It would be very difficult for me to have a single favorite memory. There are so many wonderful events, successes, and people, that have made my 37 years truly exciting. Perhaps, one special memory which was very personal to me, was a surprise 25th Anniversary celebration -- a roast that was sponsored by our sales organization.

What sets Hu-Friedy apart from other companies in the industry?

It is on this subject that I could write a book. However, were I compelled to give a single and simple answer, it's our people. HF continues to be a perfect example of what hiring the right people means to a company.
We are a "family" with corresponding values; we have always surrounded ourselves with people who genuinely care. We are tough-minded, hard-working, loyal, committed, hate to lose, are genuine, nice, respectful, smart and open communicators. There is probably so much more I could say about our Hu-Friedites - but everyone in our industry would agree - we simply have the very best people there are!
