Congratulations to the Winners of the Refer A Friend Contest!
Thank you to everyone who shared Friends of Hu-Friedy with other dental hygiene professionals. Your support has helped our community grow, and will continue to as well.
RDH Winner: Sandra Berger, RDH, BS Winner of the Symmetry IQ Multi-functional Piezo Device (MSRP: $1,650) Sandra's Story:
"I graduated from Ohio State University in 1979 with my RDH and then in 1980 with a BS in elementary and health education I have been a dental hygienist for almost 29 years, that last 25 of them working in the same office. I have also been the coordinator of the Jersey Coast Dental Forum (a Seattle Study Club) and the Hygiene Extravaganza for 8 years, Drs. Anthony DiCesare,father and son, directors. Four years ago we started a dental hygiene study club off shoot (The Jersey Coast Dental Hygiene Study Club) and I am advisor to that. Being involved with the study clubs and the Hygiene Extravaganza has taught me the importance of networking and having a strong support group of your peers. I hold that responsible for me winning the Symmetry. Having a strong support network has allowed me to succeed as an RDH, Mom and wife. I can at any time email or call someone for answers, personally or professionally and that is so important especially as an RDH as we most often are the only RDH in an office and may have limited access to other RDHs. I have also made great relationships with the local representatives of companies that support the programs I coordinate. One of my favorites is of course my Hu-Friedy sales representative Ronni Schwartz. She is a wealth of knowledge. I am active in another study club that my friends Jodie Heimbach, Millie Thaw and I started called, the Metro Hygiene Study Forum and have recently been appointed CE-co-chair for the Central New Jersey Dental Hygiene Association. I can't wait to use my new Symmetry!
